In the beginning,

God created

the heavens and the earth.

And they clothed Him in a purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns,

they put it on Him.  And they began to salute Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Proverbs 30: 7-9

Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):

Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me;

Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

The Name of Jesus fills my mind

The Name of Jesus fills my heart

The name of Jesus informs my every emotion,

My every thought:  Peace, be still.

Jesus is here.

The wise woman builds her house,

But the foolish pulls it down

With her hands.

Therefore I am well content with weaknesses,

With insults, with distress,

With persecutions, with difficulties,

For Christ´s sake;

For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:10

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness

For his name´s sake.

Your Word

Is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

leaves may 17 2013

 I will bless the Lord at all times;
    his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
    let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
    and let us exalt his name together!

about to fly

Make the Word of God your compass,
and obedience the rudder that steers your little bark
in all the ways God’s commandments point you;
and make faith the mighty cable,
and you will be towed safely past the dangerous rocks
and reefs and threatening billows
into the peaceful haven of eternal rest.
